Jordan is here

Instead of backtracking I am just going to update everything in one blog. I can not believe my little man is already here. He is now six weeks old and I am back to work. It was a little easier this time with the second but boy I sure do miss my boys when I am not with them. I got to stay home with both of them on my six weeks and it was great. Lets start out by saying that on Oct 6th we went in to be induced and when we got there they started me on some fluids. Then came the pitocin and the breaking of my water. The nurse kept uping the pitocin because I told her the contractions were not bad and she said we need to make you scream lol. I didn't want to get an epidural because the injection spot with Jason hurt for up to a year but I broke down and got one and I have not had any problems so I am glad I did. Anyways I had fully dilated but he had not moved down so they turned me over to my side and within five minutes I started to freak out because I thought I was pooping myself. I remember with Jason feeling like I had to but with Jordan I thought I was. Mom decided to check and see if I was and I was crying telling her not too because I was so embarrassed. Meanwhile Stacey was telling them I needed a nurse but mine was in a room with someone and was told she would come check on me when she was done. Well Stacey walks back in and mom says your not pooping but there is blood and that freaked me out even more. Stacey told them we needed someone ASAP and they called another nurse to come and when she checked she said I was ready. When the dr came in it was time to go and I gave two Big pushes during two contractions and he was out. He pooped and peed on here and when they went to sit me up I smelt poop and asked if that was him or me and they said both lol how embarrassing. Jason nursed immediate and did so well. He was born at 5:09pm and weighed 8lbs 5.4oz and was 20in long.

We went for our two week appointment and he was already 8lbs 13oz and steaded gaining. At his one month appointment he was 10lbs even. Total opposite of Jason who took forever to gain. Jason now is at around 12.5lbs and in 3 month clothes and a size 1 diaper. I can not beleive how big he is. He is a complete joy and so alert. His head is so strong and he is already using his leg muschles to stand.

As far as Jordan sleeping he wakes normally around 12am, 2am and then 5am sometimes only twice a night. He will nurse and go right back to sleep. However I am trying to figure out a better bedtime routine. Jason would nurse at night and lay right down where as Jordan will fall asleep nursing but wake when I put him down. I keep giving him the paci until he finally falls asleep. I do not want this to become a habit but I know he is too young to cry it out. I am going to talk to Dr, Oleasry about it at our next appointment to see what she thinks is best. He is still in the bassinet by our bed because I can not see putting him in the crib right now even though at six weeks I put Jason in his. I think I will put him in his crib when he is too months old.

As of today he has been in daycare going on the third day. I was nervous because he is a comfort nurser and I did not know how much he would eat or if he would be satisfied with just the paci. He tends to fight you on the paci at first but then loves it. He didn't do that well the first day and only napped for 30 minutes but on the second day he took a 2 hr nap and was less fussy. I packed four 4oz bottles and he drank three on the first day and on the third day he had three and was on the fourth when I picked him up. I hope I can keep up with his demand while pumping. I at least want to nurse for five months like I did with Jason. We shall see. I have been having issues while pumping and its been painful so we shall see if it heals quickly.
