Happy Birthday Jordan

Oh my how time has flown. I can not believe you are actually a year old. Literally you have turned into a little boy in just the past couple of days. You have taking a couple of steps here and there but you are still not ready to just let go and walk and I am okay with that. You are still very into your bottle and will tolerate a sippy cup a little a time but are head strong when you know you want a bottle. A few words that you are saying is momma, dada, papa, cup, hi, and bye. You babble so much and it is the cutest thing.  You still only have four teeth. We had your one year check up and decided that you may have a dairy allergy. We got several topical and oral medicines to help clear up your eczema and so far it seems to be working. We are going to stay away from dairy until your next appointment and see what the dr and dermatologist determine. Hopefully you will grow out of it. We celebrated your birthday party on the 10th with cookie monster theme and it was a success. You enjoyed playing with everyone once you let go and opened up a bit. You still seem to be clingy to mommy and daddy and I am so okay with that. I still can not get over the fact that you are one. It seems like just yesterday I was bringing you home. I have your stats from the Dr but have to look them up. I do know that you and your brother have similar stats at your year check up.

Nine and Ten Months

I have really been slack about keeping up with Jordan's monthly post. At Jordan's 9 month check up he weighed 20.2lbs(60%) 29 1/4 ht(85%). He did very well at his check up and Dr' Oleary was very pleased. Jordan started standing for a little bit right before he turned 10 months old. He is first  word was momma. He had been saying it for a while but I wasn't sure if he was babbling or actually relating it to me and now it as clear as day. He is in stage right now where he is all about mommy. He loves daddy too but when others come around it takes him a minute to warm up to them. He finally has two bottom teeth break through. It was about a couple days before he turned ten months old that the two white dots broke though. We are working on switching him over to a sippy cup and getting rid of the bottles. He does not take a bottle at daycare but does first thing in the morning and right before bed. Since he has been on solid food since he was six months old I have slowly switched him over to 2% milk and he seems to be adjusting fine. He does still have some formula left over and I will give him some every once in a while so that it is not wasted. I am hoping that with him off formula his eczema will clear up.  He is still a great sleeper and will usually sleep from 6:30 to about 6:00 in the morning however he has been waking around 5:00 the past couple of days. He is completely different then Jason in that aspect as Jason would wake up that early but would fall back asleep in the bed with us. Jordan is up and ready to go lol. I can't believe in less than two months he will be a year old. II literally do not know where the time has gone. I feel like he was never a baby. I am trying to cherish every minute with him.

Eight Months

My little bulldog is eight months old. You are now in a big boy car seat as you were becoming to heavy for mommy to carry the infant car seat and you just looked uncomfortable in it. You are now pulling up on everything and are even trying to climb the stairs. I definitely have to keep my eyes on you now because you are all over the place. You still do not have any teeth but I have a feeling it will be very soon. I love how much personality you have and the many facial expressions you have. You will now stick out your tongue and make noises and it is the cutest thing. You have even begun to wave high. You still sleep well through the night most nights but when you do wake up its no longer easy to get you to go back to sleep as you try and fight sleep as much as possible. You are wearing 12 month clothes and are now in a size four diaper.

Five and Six Months

I have been so slack and completely didn't blog for Jordan's five month post. However not much changed during that time. He started sitting up on his own at five months and will move from place to place by rolling. He got on his hands and knees the other day but has not moved or rocked back and forth but mommy is in no rush to make him be on the move. Jason and Jordan are forming such an amazing bond and I love to see them interact. We just have to work on Jason not getting in his face all the time. It melts my heart to see them playing together. Jordan had his six month appointment last week and because his eczema was still bad we got some expensive creams that we are using and it has helped tremendously. His skin has never looked better. We also had to take Jason to that appointment with us because he had a stomach bug but was as happy as can be and thankfully it is over with. Dr. Oleary did comment on how well his speech was for his age. Dr. Oleary also stated how much Jordan tries to be much bigger than he is. She said he acts like a 12 month old.  He is a healthy baby boy. 28in (95%) 18.5lbs (65%) and 82% head. We waited till Jason was 9 months old before he fully went to real food however Jordan has decided that he wants more than jar food. When we are eating he tries his hardest to eat what we have. I don't feed him much at night(dinner) other than his bottle because daycare gives him so much during the day but I think that will change soon because he wants more.

4 Months Old

You have accomplished so much this past month. You are rolling over and are so much more alert. You constantly smile and light up our lives. Your big brother loves you so much but we still have to work on him being more gently with you. You just started eating baby food and your first were bananas and you loved them. You weigh 15.1lbs which is in the 40% and are 26inch long which puts you in the 80%. You are a pound bigger and an inch bigger the your big brother was at 4 months. Mommy loves that you still have blue eyes but I have a feeling they wont stay that way. You have a really bad condition on your scalp and I don't remember the name of it but its a mix of cradle cap and eczema. The Dr seems to think it will be cleared up by 8 months to just keep it treated as much as possible till then. You are starting to look more and more like your big brother and I love it. The Dr said you are trying to be a six month old. You can not stand to lay down. You try and sit up all the time...Please slow down.

Three Months

This little man is three months old today. I can not believe how fast it is going by. He has started to talk a lot more and he gets so excited when he does. He even has began to laugh a lot. He is now enjoying time in his bouncer and will sit there for periods at a time. He had even begun to sleep through the night but the past two nights have gone back to waking up once around 1 or 2 in the morning. He usually always wakes up happy and I can go in and get him before he starts to cry whereas Jason always woke up crying. Jordan still continues to suck on his hands if there is not a paci around and I am okay with that. I think he might be teething because he constantly chews on them and has starting to drool a little more. His daycare started him in rice cereal yesterday and he had two servings of it and she said he did great. I hate that I was not the first to give it to him but I will give it to him this weekend. I hope it doesn't constipate him like it did Jason. So far so good so we shall see. He has a well visit next month for his four month appointment so I am curious to see what his stats are.
