False Alarm & Prenatal Visit 11

So I had a long night last night. Went to bed at 10:30 to wake up at 12:30 to a huge puddle in my bed. I was sure my water had broke so we called the hospital and went in. Turns out just peed the bed. I was so upset and cried the whole way home because I was so sure it was the real thing. Hopefully next time I go in it will be. I am okay now but last night was really emotional.

I also had another appointment today. There has been no change since the last visit. I am still only 50% effaced with no dialation. My next appointment is Tuesday so hopefully there will be some change. As much as I am ready for him next week will not be a good week work wise because Stacey will be at the beach and Frankie will be teaching in Sumter so it would not be a good week for my replacement to start.

Prenatal Visit #10

This morning was my 36 week visit. Today we tested for Strep B and checked my cervix. I have not dilated any but I am 50% effaced. She is hoping that by my next visit I will be about 75% to 80% effaced and then I should start dilating. I will find out the results at my next visit which is May 31 so hopefully there is good news and more progress. Stacey is going to the beach June 2 - 8 so she says he is holding out for her to get back so we shall see if he does. I am just going to go with the flow and when he is ready we will meet him. I met with Dr Painter for the first time today and she seems very nice and personable so at this time I will be confortable if any of them were on call when I went into labor. Jason's heartbeat was good and I was measuring right at 36 weeks. I have lost 2 pounds but they did not seem to be worried about it. Until next time.

Family Baby Shower

Today was my Family baby shower given by my wonderful sister and Laura with the help of my two mother in laws. We had such a great turn out. I am so very lucky to have such great support. We got a TON of Monkey outfits which is fine by me because he is going to be my little monkey. I can not wait to meet him.

Prenatal Visit 8 & 9

I am combining these two posts because nothing too exciting happened at visit 8. Blood Pressure and weight and measurements were right on and so was babies heart beat. The same with my visit today everything was right on track. However the most exciting part of the visit was that I asked Dr Risinger if she could tell just by feeling if Jason had turned because he has been moving so much lately he had to have. Well she felt him and sure enough it has been his butt that I have been seeing dancing back in forth at the top of my belly. He is going to be just like his mommy...lol. At this time I have only gained 22 lbs and am still trying to maintain my exercise which is beginning to get a little more difficult. I find that sitting at my desk all day really makes me very uncomfortable so I tend to try and get up and walk around as much as possible or just take a break and recline back in my chair. My next visit will be in two weeks and at this time they will start checking my cervix. I can not believe how close we are getting to meeting this precious little boy. I am beyond excited and ready to see his sweet face.
