Today was the best day of my life. Today I got to meet my sweet son. Jason was born at 4:36pm on June 15, 2012. He was 6 pounds 11.4 ounces and 19 inchs long. He has completely stolen my heart. We went into the hospital the night before to start my induction. They started me are cerverdil which is used to soften my cervix. However when we got checked in and started getting monitored we found out I actually started having contractions on my own. Between my excitement and the ivs and getting checked every other hour I could not sleep that night. That morning They stated me on the Potocin and broke my water are 9:00. Those were the worst contractions I have ever felt. The night before they were not bad but these were brutal. I decided to wait a lil while because I was not sure if I was going to get an epidural but once they started coming back to back I could not take it any longer and asked for my epidural. Those 45 minutes lasted forever. Once I got my epidural it was smooth sailing. I kept telling every one I felt pressure but since it was only during contractions and not constant they were not eager to check my however they finally did and I was fully dialated and ready to push. Once the Dr came in we have three pushes and Jason had arrived. Childbirth was very easy for me and I am so blessed that we did not have any complications. This is one day that I will never forget and will always cherish with my sweet boy.
