Tubes

This morning we had to be at the surgery center at 6:45 this morning and go figure its the one day that I have to wake Jason up instead of him waking us up. We arrived at 6:30 and we called back immediately. Jason was such a big boy and everyone loved him as always. I was worried that he would be fussy because he was not able to have his bottle yet. He definitely surprised me with how well he did. Dr Thompson was running a little late so 10 minutes prior to going into surgery he started to get a little fussy. He was literately only back there for like 10 minutes and then I was called back to see him. Poor thing was crying so hard. He calmed down when I first held him but then he was uncontrollable. They told me he took a couple sips of his water but my boy knows that is not his milk so I finally asked if I could give him his milk. Like magic he was calm as could be. My poor baby was starving. He came to work with me till lunch time and then he and I went home and played and rested. He was back to his normally self in no time. I pray that these will be the only set of tubes that he will have to get.

Nine Months

Baby boy is 9 months today 27 3/4 in(25%) 20lbs(56%) head 55%. He still has an ear infection so he was put on more antibiotics and is scheduled to get tubes put in on Wed. I am feeling a lot better about this but still a little worried. I am hoping he will only have to get one set in. Jason continues to grow and is such a joy to be around. He is still just cursing but I am sure by next month he will be taking some steps on his own. After his 9 month check up he got the go ahead for table food and let me tell you that was the best thing ever. I dropped him off Friday after his appointment and told daycare he could have whatever they made that day and left. Well I realized I left my wallet in the diaper bag so had to go back and get it and he was in the high chair eating his first turkey sandwich and mixed veggies and was as happy as can be. Day care is also helping work on transitioning him from a bottle to a sippy cup. Over the weekend it made our meal times much easier to have him eating with us. Before he would go back and forth from me and daddy trying to get what we had on our plate and now he stuffs his face and loves it. He still only has two teeth but I can see the top two will be out soon. I do not give Jason a bath every night because his skin gets so much worse after a bath but when he is in there he loves it but the other day he got my attention and crawled down the hall into the bathroom and pulled up. Poor thing wants to get in there and play with his boat so bad...lol
