Two Months and Two and a half years old

Today we have both Jason and Jordan's well visits. Jason is 2 1/2 and weighs 30lbs (50%) and 36 inch tall (60%). He is growing and learning so much every day. There are days where I dont enough know where he gets half of what he does and says from. He is very strong willed and very much a handful but I guess thats part of his job being two. He just has so much energy that it is hard to get him to pay attention for two long but we are working on that.

Jordan is two months and weighs 12 lbs 12 oz (60%) 23 1/2 ht (70%) 40 1/2hc (85%) He had his shots today and neither he nor I did well with those. It broke my heart. His big brother was right there saying its okay Jordan. He can be sweet sometimes. Jordan is such a good baby. He is now sleeping in his crib and usually only wakes up once a night. The first night I put him in his crib he was not swaddled and slept in a sleep sack and did so well. Mommy is proud of him and myself. He is starting to show more of a personality and has even laughed for the first time. He does great holding his head up and always wants to be looking at everything else.

Big Brother Jason

Jason has adjusted so well with Jordan being here. He is such a great helper and loves to help me get diapers or throw them away. There are moments where he gets upset if I cant play with him while nursing Jordan but doesn't handle it too bad. Once Jordan was able to take a bath I started bathing them together and Jason thinks its the best thing ever. I can not wait to see how they grow up together. I hope they share a special bond forever. While I was home with Jason I decided to try and potty train again. He did well as long as I reminded him to sit on the potty. He had two accidents on my couch and then I decided to put him back in pull ups because they smell was horrible and I am still working on getting it out. Even though he was in pull ups he still stayed dry for the most part. He will not tell me that he has to go potty but the last week we were home he would go to the potty and pull down his pants potty and then pull them back up all on his own with no help. He even pooped in the potty for four days straight with one of the days going three times in the potty. When we started daycare Mrs Valarie was all for undies so we did and the first day he had no accidents. She even left him in undies during nap. The second day he had a big blow out. He had not pooped in three days and then she gave him oatmeal for breakfast and that always makes him go so it was a mess but still had no pee accidents. I hope this is a good sign that we are almost there. We shall see.

Jordan is here

Instead of backtracking I am just going to update everything in one blog. I can not believe my little man is already here. He is now six weeks old and I am back to work. It was a little easier this time with the second but boy I sure do miss my boys when I am not with them. I got to stay home with both of them on my six weeks and it was great. Lets start out by saying that on Oct 6th we went in to be induced and when we got there they started me on some fluids. Then came the pitocin and the breaking of my water. The nurse kept uping the pitocin because I told her the contractions were not bad and she said we need to make you scream lol. I didn't want to get an epidural because the injection spot with Jason hurt for up to a year but I broke down and got one and I have not had any problems so I am glad I did. Anyways I had fully dilated but he had not moved down so they turned me over to my side and within five minutes I started to freak out because I thought I was pooping myself. I remember with Jason feeling like I had to but with Jordan I thought I was. Mom decided to check and see if I was and I was crying telling her not too because I was so embarrassed. Meanwhile Stacey was telling them I needed a nurse but mine was in a room with someone and was told she would come check on me when she was done. Well Stacey walks back in and mom says your not pooping but there is blood and that freaked me out even more. Stacey told them we needed someone ASAP and they called another nurse to come and when she checked she said I was ready. When the dr came in it was time to go and I gave two Big pushes during two contractions and he was out. He pooped and peed on here and when they went to sit me up I smelt poop and asked if that was him or me and they said both lol how embarrassing. Jason nursed immediate and did so well. He was born at 5:09pm and weighed 8lbs 5.4oz and was 20in long.

We went for our two week appointment and he was already 8lbs 13oz and steaded gaining. At his one month appointment he was 10lbs even. Total opposite of Jason who took forever to gain. Jason now is at around 12.5lbs and in 3 month clothes and a size 1 diaper. I can not beleive how big he is. He is a complete joy and so alert. His head is so strong and he is already using his leg muschles to stand.

As far as Jordan sleeping he wakes normally around 12am, 2am and then 5am sometimes only twice a night. He will nurse and go right back to sleep. However I am trying to figure out a better bedtime routine. Jason would nurse at night and lay right down where as Jordan will fall asleep nursing but wake when I put him down. I keep giving him the paci until he finally falls asleep. I do not want this to become a habit but I know he is too young to cry it out. I am going to talk to Dr, Oleasry about it at our next appointment to see what she thinks is best. He is still in the bassinet by our bed because I can not see putting him in the crib right now even though at six weeks I put Jason in his. I think I will put him in his crib when he is too months old.

As of today he has been in daycare going on the third day. I was nervous because he is a comfort nurser and I did not know how much he would eat or if he would be satisfied with just the paci. He tends to fight you on the paci at first but then loves it. He didn't do that well the first day and only napped for 30 minutes but on the second day he took a 2 hr nap and was less fussy. I packed four 4oz bottles and he drank three on the first day and on the third day he had three and was on the fourth when I picked him up. I hope I can keep up with his demand while pumping. I at least want to nurse for five months like I did with Jason. We shall see. I have been having issues while pumping and its been painful so we shall see if it heals quickly.

36 Week Appointment

I have been slack about my prenatal appointments but nothing really has happened to really write about. I went into today at 35.4 weeks and had my strep b test done and will get the results at next weeks appointment. I am sure it will be positive as it was with Jason. I am up to 31 pound weight gain and I am hoping to to go past 35 but we shall see. She asked if I wanted to be checked and of coarse I said yes. I am 1cm dilated but she said my cervix was really high so no effacement. I am curious to see if there will be any change next week. With Jason I never dilated until I was actually induced. Either way Jordan will make his appearance when he is ready.

Big Boy Bed

So we finally got Jason's big boy room complete. Well almost complete but its to a point where he can start sleeping in there and all of his clothes are in there. We just need to get some of daddy's stuff out of the closet and  off the wall. Through the process we have been taking Jason into his room and letting him know we were getting it ready for him and yesterday he "helped" me hang up his curtains and the day before his camera. After that was done we called nanny and showed her his big bed and were laying in there for a while to get him used to it. Last night after our nightly cartoons in mommy's bed we told daddy good night and I layed Jason in his bed and told him good night and shut the door. He called out for me for a second but then layed in bed into he fell asleep. It took me a while to go to sleep because I just knew he was going to wake up. He didn't at the moment but at 2:00am he woke up calling for me and eventually go out of the bed and was trying to open his door. I thought he would get tired and get back in bed but little did I know the little stinker could open the door. Next thing I know he is on the sign of the bed and saying "Mommy I have to pee". He had already peeded but hey at least he told me. Then I said it was time to get back to his room and he climbed in mommy's bed. I had a feeling that would happen because it doesn't when he is in the crib but I think it was a success for the first night. Hopefully he will continue to like and sleep in his big boy train bed.

Prenatal Visit 5 & 6

He was shy the whole time
So I have been slack about my prenatal post. A couple weeks ago we had my 24 week appointment which was my glucose test. I passed and baby looked great. Today I had my 28 week appointment and met with Dr Rowland for the first time. First I had my ultrasound which was always good to see. They were checking to make sure my placenta had moved up and it has. The baby looks great and is measuring ahead. He "weighs" 3.2lbs already so either I am going to have a huge baby or he will be early. I know the initial ultrasounds are most accurate but the last two I have had said Sept 28th at 20 weeks and Sept 24th at 28 weeks based on his measurements. Dr Rowland says that my due date will not change and that the baby's can vary after the initial ultrasound but because I am not sure when I conceived and based on my LMP my due date should have been Sept 14th it freaks me out a little bit. Jason was right on at each appointment and I know each baby is different so we shall see. Either way I am going to make sure I am ready for him come mid September just in case. Jordan is breech so hopefully within the next couple of weeks he will flip. I have another appointment next Friday so we shall see if they can tell at that appointment.

Two Years Old

Jason I can not believe you are already two years old. You have grown so much over the past couple of months. Your vocabulary has tripled and I love being able to communicate with you. You are such a sweet, loving, smart little boy. You have all of your teeth even your two year old molars. You seem to get better at brushing your teeth every day. You are a great sharer and typically will share whatever you are eating or playing with. Over the past two months we have started really potty training you and you seem to be doing well for such a young age. You are in pull ups because I wanted to wait to you were at least two before we started big boy undies and today at your check up Dr. O'Leary said that we should def put you in undies and not pull ups so hopefully you will adjust well to that. I have a feeling you will be okay since you tell us for the most part when you have to potty. We shall see. You are still in your crib but we are working on your big boy room now and will hopefully have you in there within the month. We are currently working on counting and your ABC's. You are so funny every time I ask you to sing you like to just sing ABC over and over. Two seems to be your favorite number so we have to work more on that. You have grown more attached to bear and he seems to have to go everywhere with us but its so cute. You will give bear some of your drink and kisses. You had your two year old check up today and are doing well. You are in the 44% for height at 36" 85% for weight at 28lbs and your head is in the 75%. She said one of your tubes seems to be coming out so we will see how long it last. She is also still concerned about your voice because it is so deep. I think its fine but she wants us to have the ENT look at it at your next visit just to be safe. Mommy and daddy love you so much and know you are going to be a great big brother to Jordan. Below are a few pics from your construction party. It was a big hit and you especially loved the Balloon animals that grammy got for you.

Another Precious Boy!!!!

Today was my 4th prenatal visit and it was our anatamy scan. I have been telling one all along that it was a boy and today it was confirmed. I am super excited to have a little brother to grow up with Jason and for them to be best friends. The visit went well today. They said Jordan looks great! He is measuring a little bigger so it may be that my due date is off but only by 5 days so not enough to change the date at this time. I just want him to arrive healthy and happy. I also have a low lying placenta just like with Jason but they said its nothing to worry about. I just get to see him again at a 29 week ultrasound. My weight is at 162 which puts me at gaining 11 lbs so far. Next appointment is the glucose test and I really hope I pass. On another note Big Brother Jason will be one in exactly a month. I can't believe how much he has grown just over the past couple of months. He is going to be a great big brother!!!!

Prenatal Visit #3

So today was my prenatal visit #3. We saw Dr. Painter again. She really is sweet but got backed up so it took awhile before I got to actually see her. I really didn't have any questions for her but wanted to make her away of lower left back pain that I was having occasionally just to confirm that it was just the baby laying in a certain position. I am measuring right on track and the heart beat is in the 150s. I so think its a boy but we will know for sure at our next visit which is May 15th. She laughed as soon as she put the doppler on my belly because you could actually hear the baby moving in there. It was such a relief to hear the heartbeat. With Jason the 16th week appointment he apparently was hiding because it took a while to find his heartbeat but this one must have known how long I had to wait to hear it. I feel like this pregnancy is flying by but at the same time Oct is so far away. Four more weeks and we can start calling you by name.

Big News

As you can see we are excited to announce that we are expecting baby # 2 October 3rdt. his was not a planned pregnancy but wasnt prenvented at the same time. this is def a happy blessing and we cant wait till make our family of four.

I have had two prenatal visits and both went well. Baby is measuring right on track.  At the first visit I was exactly six weeks and baby's HB was 115 and at twelve weeks baby was at 160. Jason was 160 at 12 weeks too so I am curious as to weather or not its another boy. We wont find out the sex until middle of May. I am very excited about this journey and to bring a sibling into this world for Jason to grow up with close in age. I hope they will share a special bond that can not be broken.

18 Months

Jason had his18 month check up on December 20th and he is a growing boy 27.2lbs (85%) 32 1/3 height (44%) Over the past three months Jason has grown and developed so much. He is at the point now where he can repeat most words and we are working on colors and numbers but he only repeats me at this point. Some of his favorite sayings right now are all done, stuck, outside, more(which is a big one) night night, stinky/bailey, dog, plane. There are a couple others that he will say but those are the most consistent. He has all of his teeth besides his two year molars either in or coming through. He has had a couple spouts of sickness but has overall been healthy. I think we are going to start potty training soon because he class at daycare is going to start and I feel with him being around others going potty that he will catch on soon or at least that is my hope. His smile can light up a whole room. I constantly hear that he is always the happiest and always smiling when he is taken somewhere. He will cry when he is first dropped off but as soon as we are out of view he is content and plays well. We are still working with him on saying NO so much. I think he believes his a game but mommy doesnt think its funny anymore so I hope this is a phaase that we go through fast.

Jason had a great 2nd Christmas and was very spoiled by friends and family. Most of my pictures can be found on facebook of him. I cant wait to see how much you grow in the next six months. I can not believe you will be two before I know it. I enjoy my time with you and although I love watching you learn new things it makes me sad that you are growing up so fast. I try and rock you like a baby but you want nothing to do with it. You continue to do well with going to bed at night however you are an early riser and wake up between 5 and 6. Even when I try and keep you up later you are still up early. You love all kinds of fruit but we are working on getting you to eat more veggies. You used to eat everything but have become picky lately.

Mommy and daddy love you with all our hearts
