Jason's First Christmas

This Christmas was extra special to me. We got to celebrate Jason's first Christmas and let me tell you this boy sure is loved by many. We did Christmas with Big Jason's Dad and Diane the Sunday before Christmas. It was a treat to actually be able to have it our house. It was very exciting to see Jason actually enjoy opening presents but as I expected he seemed to like the paper more than anything. As always we had a wonderful meal provided by his parents and a great fun filled day.

Its hard to get a good picture of five kids
My boys first Christmas present. He was so excited
Yay just what mommy wanted lol
Jason helping put the cars together
A tradition I love with the kids. Puzzle time
 Grandaddy and Jason relaxing
Christmas morning we always go to Jason's moms house where she provides breakfast for us. I am not sure how we are going to fit this in when J gets older and wants to play longer with Santa's gifts but we will work it out.
J sitting in his dads chair eating pancakes and waffles
Grandma always wanted to have a grandbaby so she could buy him a rocking horse and J loves it
After we leave grandmas its time for Nannie and Papas for Christmas with the Rabon's. We usually get to mom and dads around 11:00 and have a yummy lunch with everyone. I am so glad we are able to work it out so that we can all spend Christmas together.
Love these girls
 Mom and Dad with J
OOOOO looks like fun...his favorite toy so far
Savannah was so excited about her Barbie.
Aunt Erika loving on Baby J
This picture cracks me up. We asked all the boys to get together for a picture and Rick notices the kids and the dads lap so he runs and jumps in daddies lap..hilarious
THe story behind this is that Mom sat on Ricks lap and Stacey comes running in the living room to get a picture and bust her butt. Rick apparently thinks its hilarious and pushes mom off his lap...priceless memories
All and all we had a great Christmas and we are so very blessed to be able to spend it with the ones that we love. I can not wait for many more Christmas to come and to see the joy on J's face on Christmas morning.

Six Months

We are half way to my baby's first birthday. I can not believe how much time has passed and how much he has grown. Jason truly is a blessing. He is such a joy to be around and is usually pretty much always happy. At six months Jason has already accomplished so much. He is now sitting up on his own with out support. He continues to army crawl all over the place and is now on his hands and knees rocking back and forth but has not accomplished a regular crawl. He will try and pull up but does not have enough strength yet. He will however stand against his toy for a little while without falling so we are building up strength. Know that he is sitting and he enjoying bath time more and more with some added toys. I know there will be the day where he is going to fight me on getting out of the bath. He seems to take after his dad when it comes to eating. There has not been on thing that I have given him that he does not seem to like. If we go out to eat we do have to bring his veggie sticks or he tries to eat everything we have. He is doing well with feeding himself as long as its something long for him the grab. He knows as soon as you bring out the high chair that it is time to eat and I love seeing the excitement in his face. We had his six month check up at 6 1/2 months and Dr. O'leary is happy with his progress. He is still on the small side but she said he is doing great on the growth curve. He did have another ear infection but was no where near as bad as the last two so she said she would not count it towards anything in regards to weather or not he would need tubes.

6 month check up. Still a lil man. Height 27in 53%
weight 17.2ilbs 35%
and head 53%

Army Crawler

So my not even six month old can now army crawl. I can not believe how fast he is growing up. Don't get me wrong I am very proud of my little man but as Stacey brought to my attention I wont have a baby for long. I find it funny that he wants to be just like his big cousin Jackson and crawl around Christmas time. I will be blessed if he turns out anything like Jackson. Here is a video of him crawling. Its not the best but as usually every time I pull out the phone to take a video he doesn't want to do it.

Look what I can do

This past weekend we went to a friends house Friday night and as we were there I placed Jason on the floor to play with his teether. As we were sitting there he went to reach for it and rolled over all by himself. I screamed so loud. After a moment of cheering I got by phone and tried to get it on camera thinking he wouldn't but to my surprise once he started there was no stopping him. He now rolls over all the time. At night time he now even rolls over and sleeps in his tummy. Scary for mommy but he seems to love it.

My First Halloween

My little monkey enjoyed his first Halloween. Since he is only 4 months we didn't actually do any trick or treating but he sure did enjoy handing out candy. My sweet boy was a big hit and did so well.

He is practicing holding his bucket for next year
We got a surprise visit from some very cute pink Zebra's

I just love this picture. Jason usually is ready for bed at this point and knows momma means feeding time so we don't get to read books often.

4 Months Old

Jason turned four months old this past Monday and today he had his four month well visit. He did so well with his shots. A lot better than his two month check up so I decided he could go to daycare. Dr. O'Leary said he is doing well. I did talk to her about his sleep habits at night and how he is now waking up about four times a night and she suggested uping his bottles to 5oz instead of 4oz to make sure he is getting enough nutrients during the day. That way he will not need as many throughout the night. He is still being breastfed which I am glad we have been able to so far and atleast plan to continue until he is six months. Dr'Oleary also noticed a scratch on his eye but it doesn't seem to be bothering him. She did call in some eye drops just in case it started to. This past month Jason has become a squealer. He will squeal weather he is happy or fussy and it is so cute. He is rolling from side to side but has not completely rolled from his back to his tummy but I feel it will be soon. He has continued to do well with rice cereal and I plan to start him on stage one fruits and veggies this week. Jason will have his fussy moments and some may even say he is spoiled but one thing for sure is he is a happy baby. His smile can light up and room and I look forward to seeing his big gummy smile first thing in the morning. Daddy loves to unswaddle him in the morning and free his arms and gets a kick out of him stretching. For some reason he loves to scratch at his head as he is stretching. I can not believe he is already four months. Where has my baby gone?

Stats for four months
Weight 14lbs (17.9%)
Height 25in (35%)

Rice Cereal

Jason is five days shy of four months today so we tried rice cereal tonight. I tried to give it to him but he was too hungry to attempt at first. I nursed him a bit and then he was ready to go. The measurments that it called for made it too runny in my opnion but it's just practice on his and my part. Tonight we will make it a little more thicker. Below is a video from his first attempt. He is growing up so fast.
